The Dining is in the Details.
As we all know, Disney restaurants can have some amazing theming. Whether it is an opulent, Victorian establishment catering to an adult-only crowd or a raucous warehouse in a movie studio, you can count on Disney to spend a lot of time, energy and money on the details surrounding you.
Imagine dining among photographs of legendary Hollywood icons while eating at Walt Disney Word.
No, I’m not talking about the Brown Derby, but you’re close! Hollywood and Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a nod to Art Deco and the Hollywood/Los Angeles area of the 1930s and 1940s.
Located on the far wall of the restaurant are two maps that were created specifically for the eatery.
The map above points us to the Walt Disney Studios (and some other studios) in the Burbank area. This references the Burbank Studios the company moved to in 1939 and would seem to place this restaurant in the early 1940′s. A castmember has obviously taken it upon themselves to add to the map. Do you see what was added below Universal City?
The second map features some of the sites that you might encounter while sightseeing in the Beverly Hills / West Hollywood area. There are many famous and well known streets and hotspots listed. How many do you recognize?
