December 5, 1901 was Walt Disney’s birthday.
So, what does this have to do with the Trail’s End Restaurant?
If you find yourself short of time and lacking the ingredients to make Walt’s Chili and Beans, you can always head over to Fort Wilderness. There, you can enjoy a fantastic bowl of chili from the Trail’s End Restaurant. It is served as part of the dinner buffet and is very hearty. The chili is served in small crocks and you will find yourself making many trips to the buffet!
On page 42 of Chef Mickey: Treasures from the Vault and Delicious New Favorites is Walt Disney’s personal recipe for chili and beans. You can make your own to celebrate Walt’s birthday. Send us pictures of your own Walt’s chili and beans.
